The units were absolutely fabulous and comfortable with a mini-fridge. the views of the castle were wonderful. - the staff were informative. - the location in Penafiel was impressive, just off the center of the village. - the old town center is typically Spanish. - the Peñafiel castle was wonderful.

Beautiful hotel, very well restored/renovated. Similar to some of the best Paradors in standard but better. More personal and friendly. Outdoor pool and spa area were excellent and very clean. Food in the restaurant was differnt and very good. The wine list - located in the middle of the Duero valley was ideal!Couldnt fault it.

room view of penafiel castle lit up on the hill-magical. Wonderful courtyard/cloister. Position next to the old town and river.Relaxed ambience and peaceful. Good breakfast but wouldn't reccommend the evening meal unless you are into gourmet food and small portions. €11 for a small bowl of onion soup set the tone

Great architecture, perfect location, very nice furniture, excellent restaurant. Wish we had been there for a longer stay. We travel to many loacations and stay in many hotels, this was a very pleasant suprise
difficult to find as the Garmin takes you to the wrong location

The Staff were very friendly - we were staying during one of the World Cup Spain matches - they had a big screen set up with tapas etc in the cloisters - lots of fun.

Excellent location for a wine trip in Ribera del Dureo. Very helpful staff. Nice, cosy modern/traditional ambience. Beautiful view of the Penafiel Castle.
No internet connection! Unpredictable in a hotel in this level.
